Carpeting Home

Should I do anything more to clean my cat vomit from my stairs carpeting?

I scooped up the chunks, dampened paper and scrubbed the spots with it, soaked new paper towels in in spray and then scrubbed the spots again, then scrubbed with some soaked paper towels.

  1. That should about do it. If you want you could buy or rent a deep cleaner. I bought a little green machine portable size for accidents like that.
  2. If you still feel like it isn't clean enough, petsmart or petco have special carpet cleaning products for cat vomit, urine, etc, You can also purchase the spot bot, which is specically designed to clean up pet stains. You just turn it on, can walk off, and it does the whole thing for you.
  3. To get a nice clean: 1. Spray some woolite pet spray on your carpet 2. Let the spray set for 20 seconds 3. Get wet paper towels and scrub the sprayed area 4. Get dry paper towels and dry it 5. Try not to step on it! And ya, I think you got it pretty good!
  4. You can get commercial spot-remover and odor-remover spray to get rid of stains and smells. Also, a scrub brush is very effective at, well, scrubbing. If you have the funds, you can get portable carpet cleaners to do an even deeper job, although its not really necessary. Even so, it sounds like you already did a really good job!
  5. I use Resolve, pet and stain remover . . .works like a charm
